Adding Key Commands
You can add key commands in the Key Commands dialog.
Procedure
- Select File > Key Commands.
-
Do one of the following:
-
In the Commands list, click the plus sign to open a category folder, and select the function to which you want to assign a key command.
-
In the search field, enter the name of the function to which you want to assign a key command.
Assigned key commands are shown in the Keys column as well as in the Keys section to the right.
-
-
Click the Type in Key field and press the keys you want to use as a key command.
You can press individual keys or a combination of one or several modifier keys (Alt, Ctrl/Cmd, Shift) plus any key.
-
Click Assign.
The key command is shown in the Keys section.
-
Click OK.
Note
You can set up several different key commands for the same function. Adding a key command to a function that already has another key command will not replace the key command previously defined for the function.
