MIDI Editors
There are several ways to edit MIDI in Cubase. You can use the tools and functions in the Project window for large-scale editing or the functions on the MIDI menu to process MIDI parts in various ways. To manually edit your MIDI data on a graphical interface, you can use the MIDI editors.
Visibility Tab
The Key Editor and the Drum Editor feature a Visibility tab that allows you to show/hide supported track types, such as MIDI tracks, instrument tracks, sampler tracks, and folder tracks, and to make their parts available in the editor display.
Track Display Settings Pane
The Track Display Settings pane allows you to define exactly which tracks are shown in the track display at the top of the event display.

The Track Display Settings pane allows you to define exactly which tracks are shown in the track display at the top of the event display.

Note

Track Display Settings is only available if you open the Key Editor or the Drum Editor in a separate window.

To open the Track Display Settings pane, click Track Display Settings in the Visibility section of the Key Editor or Drum Editor.

The following options are available:

Show Tracks: Activate this to show a track display above the event display.
Active Track Only: Activate this to show only the tracks that you activated via the Visibility tab above the event display.
All Visible Tracks: Activate this to show all visible tracks at the top of the event display.
Enlarge Active Track: Enlarges the active track in the track display.

Note

If global tracks are shown in the editor, the track display is shown right below the event display for global tracks.
