Playback Speed Dialog
The Playback Speed dialog allows you to specify a playback speed for an active audio file and all clips of an active audio montage.

To open the Playback Speed dialog, right-click Playback Speed on the transport bar, and select Edit Playback Speed.
- Presets

Allows you to enter a name and save the settings as a preset. You can select the preset from the Playback Speed pop-up menu at a later point in time.
- Speed Factor

Allows you to set the playback speed as a percentage of the normal speed.
- Keep Constant Pitch

Prevents the pitch of the audio from being affected by any changes in playback speed.
- Quality pop-up menu

Allows you to choose from three options:
High Quality (Multi- Purpose) is suited for most audio files but takes time to be processed.
Fast Preview is processed quickly and allows you to preview a setting.
Speech is particularly suited for voice material.
- Acceleration by Skipping Low Level Regions

Skips the playback of audio regions that are below the threshold level.
- Level Detection Sensitivity

Determines the sensitivity of the level detection analysis.
- Level under Which Audio Is Skipped

Determines the threshold level for a region to be skipped during playback.
Changing the playback speed does not change the original audio in WaveLab Pro.
