MediaBay and Media Rack
You can manage media files on your computer as well as presets from multiple sources from within the MediaBay or the Media rack.
Working with Volume Databases
Nuendo saves all media file information used in the MediaBay, such as paths and attributes, in a local database file on your computer. However, in some cases, it is necessary to browse and manage this kind of metadata on an external volume.
Removing Volume Databases
If you have worked on another computer using an external hard disk and return to your own computer and connect the external device as part of your system setup, you no longer need a separate volume database. Any data on this drive can be included in the local database file again, removing the extra database file.
Mounting and Unmounting Volume Databases
Volume databases that are made available while Nuendo is running must be mounted manually.

Volume databases that are made available while Nuendo is running must be mounted manually.

To manually mount a volume database, right-click the external storage medium, drive, or partition of your computer system that you want to mount, and select Mount Volume Database.
To unmount a volume database, right-click it, and select Unmount Volume Database.
